Helping Heart Nepal Honored for Transformative Social Impact

In a significant acknowledgment of its unwavering commitment to social welfare, Helping Heart Nepal was honored by the Chief Minister of Madhesh Province, Honorable Satish Kumar Singh, during the 42nd anniversary celebration of Sagarmatha Choudhary Eye Hospital (SCEH) in Lahan, Siraha. This accolade underscores the organization's impactful contributions to health and human services across the region.

Established in 1983, SCEH has evolved from a modest 12-bed facility into a high-volume eye hospital with seven satellite clinics, delivering quality eye care to underserved populations in eastern Nepal and northern India. The hospital's annual anniversary serves as a platform to recognize entities and individuals who have significantly contributed to community health and welfare.

Helping Heart Nepal, a non-governmental and non-profit organization based in Kathmandu, Nepal has been at the forefront of various humanitarian initiatives. Their projects encompass orphan support, health services, water accessibility, emergency relief, and skill development programs, all aimed at uplifting marginalized communities without discrimination. Notably, the organization has successfully installed 1,923 water wells, facilitated 1,331 cataract surgeries, supported 1,885 orphans, and reached over 147,000 beneficiaries in the year 2024 alone.

The recognition by Chief Minister Singh highlights the profound impact of Helping Heart Nepal's initiatives in enhancing the quality of life for many. Expressing gratitude, Md. Meraj Khan, GS from the HHN stated, "This honor motivates us to further our mission of serving humanity and reaching those in need."
