Medical Equipment and Supplies Handed Over to Siraha Provincial Hospital in Nepal: A Boost to Healthcare Services

HHRD USA Nepal, in coordination with Helping Heart Nepal, recently handed over medical equipment and supplies to the Provincial Hospital in Siraha, Nepal. The handing over ceremony was attended by several distinguished individuals and representatives. The event was graced by the presence of Honorable Chief Minister of Madhes Province, Saroj Kumar Yadav, who served as the Chief Guest. Other notable attendees included Provincial MPs Raj Kumar Gupta, Shahida Khatun, and Lalita Das.

Dinesh Kumar Mahto, President of Siraha District Coordination Committee, and Dr. Nabin Kumar Yadav, Mayor of Siraha Municipality, were also present at the ceremony. Jiba Pokharel, the Program Manager of HHRD USA/Nepal, played a crucial role in the event. Additionally, Ashok Kumar Yadav, Chairman of Arnama Rural Municipality, Shiv Ji Yadav, Chairman of Aurahi Rural Municipality, Santosh Kumar Yadav, Chairman of Bariyarpatti Rural Municipality, and Shiv Udgar Yadav, Chairman of Nabrajpur Rural Municipality, were in attendance.

Bhojraj Khatiwoda, the Chief District Officer of Siraha, and Tek Nandan Limbu, the District Police Chief, participated in the ceremony. Dr. Nagendra Prasad Yadav, Medical Superintendent of Siraha Hospital, and Sohendar Prasad Yadav, Chairman of HMC, were also present. The Ward Chairmen of Siraha Municipality, Administrative Officer of CDO Office Bhabesh Kumar Jha, and District Senior Health Officer Krishna Dev Yadav graced the occasion as well.

The event witnessed the presence of doctors, nurses, medical officers, and health workers from Siraha Hospital, along with health faculty students and local social community leaders. The medical equipment and supplies handed over will contribute to improving healthcare services and facilities in 

Siraha and provide much-needed support to the medical staff in their efforts to deliver quality healthcare services to the local community.

The ceremony began with an opening address by the Chief Guest, Honorable Chief Minister Saroj Kumar Yadav, who expressed his gratitude to HHRD USA Nepal and Helping Heart Nepal for their generous contribution. He emphasized the importance of such collaborations in strengthening the healthcare infrastructure of the province.

Following the Chief Minister's speech, the Program Manager of HHRD USA/Nepal, Jiba Pokharel, highlighted the organization's commitment to supporting healthcare initiatives and their dedication to improving the well-being of the people in Nepal.

Several other speakers, including Provincial MPs Raj Kumar Gupta, Shahida Khatun, and Lalita Das, praised the collaborative efforts of HHRD USA Nepal, Helping Heart Nepal, and the local authorities in addressing the healthcare needs of Siraha. They emphasized the significance of the donated medical equipment and supplies in enhancing the hospital's capacity to provide comprehensive medical care.

Dr. Nagendra Prasad Yadav, the Medical Superintendent of Siraha Hospital, expressed his gratitude for the timely assistance and assured everyone that the medical equipment and supplies would be utilized effectively to benefit the patients and medical staff.

The event concluded with a vote of thanks from Sohendar Prasad Yadav, Chairman of HMC, who acknowledged the collective efforts of all stakeholders involved in organizing the ceremony and facilitating the handover of the medical equipment and supplies.

The successful handover of the medical equipment and supplies marked a significant step forward in improving healthcare services in Siraha.
