HHN handed over the WASH project in Girls School

Despite reported high water coverage (80%), safety remains a challenge, particularly in rural areas. Contaminated sources and inadequate sanitation disproportionately impact the poorest populations, leading to a high burden of waterborne diseases. Children under five are most vulnerable, with an estimated 44,000 deaths annually.

This underscores the urgent need for improved WASH (Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene) infrastructure in schools and public spaces. Initiatives like Helping Heart Nepal's water station handover demonstrate effective strategies to address this critical health issue.
