Helping Heart Nepal Sets Up First Computer Lab at Century-Old Institution, Opening New Pathways for Underserved Students

In a landmark moment for one of the oldest educational institutions, Helping Heart Nepal has established the school’s first computer lab, giving students from low-income and vulnerable backgrounds access to technology for the very first time.

For more than a hundred years, the institution has been a lifeline for children from rural communities, many of them orphans or from families struggling to meet basic needs. Despite limited resources, the school has continued to nurture students who dream of a better future but lack opportunities found in urban centers, especially for madrsa students.

Today’s installation of the computer lab marks a turning point. Classrooms that once relied on the most basic materials will now introduce students to digital learning, basic computer skills, and modern tools that are increasingly essential in education and employment. The upgrade is seen as a breakthrough for a generation of young learners who have long been eager to keep pace with the accelerating world beyond their village.

Teachers described the moment as transformative, noting that access to technology will help students build confidence, improve their academic performance, and expand their career aspirations. Community members expressed deep gratitude, calling the support a rare and meaningful investment in children who often go unseen.

Helping Heart Nepal shared that the initiative reflects its ongoing commitment to educational equity. The organization emphasized that every child, regardless of background or geography, deserves the chance to learn, grow, and prepare for the opportunities of tomorrow.
